Advert About the Role As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will take a lead role in promoting safe intrapartum care, improving standards in fetal heart rate interpretation, escalation, and management. Working alongside the Fetal Wellbeing Midwife, education teams and obstetricians, you will ensure that midwives and medical staff receive high-quality training in cardiotocography (CTG) interpretation and competency assessments to support better birth outcomes. Lead training and education in fetal monitoring, ensuring staff compliance with annual competency assessments. Facilitate CTG workshops and competency tests, supporting midwives and obstetricians to enhance their clinical decision-making. Support the implementation of GROW 2.0 within the maternity unit and collaborate with the Audit and Guideline Midwife to ensure compliance with the Maternity Incentive Scheme. Act as a role model in clinical practice, providing expert advice on evidence-based fetal wellbeing monitoring. Maintain staff competency records and ensure learning needs are met.
