Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and managing the financial aspects of groundworks projects
* Providing accurate and timely cost advice and cost planning
* Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards
* Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
* Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to achieve the best prices
* Ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines
* Collaborating with the project team and senior management to ensure project objectives are met
* Performing risk management and value management tasks to mitigate project risks
Job Requirements:
* Experience in quantity surveying, particularly within infrastructure projects
* Expertise in groundworks and senior quantity surveying roles
* Ability to produce detailed cost estimates and manage project budgets
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Familiarity with the construction industry standards and regulations
* Competence in preparing NEC contracts, although not essential
* Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong problem-solving ability
* Willingness to commute to Milton Keynes regularly, primarily on-site
