Audit Senior
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
Location: Surrey
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Richmond. This is a hands-on role within a busy audit team, requiring someone who can manage assignments from planning through to completion with a high degree of technical competence and minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage audit assignments across a varied portfolio of clients
* Prepare and review financial statements to a high technical standard
* Use Caseware to manage audit files, documentation, and reporting
* Supervise and support junior members of the audit team
* Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships
* Ensure compliance with UK auditing standards (ISAs UK) and relevant regulations
* Report findings clearly and professionally to managers and partners
Essential Requirements:
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist), trained in the UK
* Audit experience gained within a Top 20 accountancy firm, with a solid tenure in that environment
* Strong working knowledge of Caseware
* Proven ability to prepare and construct financial statements independently
* Sound understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102
* Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
Desirable:
* Experience across a range of sectors and entity sizes
* Exposure to group audit work or consolidations
* Supervisory or team leadership experience
