Cover Supervisor
Location: Hyde and surrounding areas
Contract: Part-time and temporary
Premier Education is seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a temporary basis in secondary schools across Tameside. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in the education sector, whether you are a recent graduate, an aspiring teacher, or an experienced Cover Supervisor.
We are currently experiencing a demand for Cover Supervisors for same day bookings. Candidates who can specialise in English, Maths and Science are of particular interest in Tameside.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
* Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
* Support students with their learning and provide guidance when needed.
* Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition of lessons.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Specialise in English, Maths and Science and if possible.
Requirements:
* Ideally a degree level qualification (especially for those considering a teaching career). Otherwise, a Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable.
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* A proactive and flexible approach to work.
* A passion for education and supporting young learners.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Pay:
£100.00 - £130.00 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
