Department Information
Stewart Travel, the Retail arm of Brooklyn Travel Group, encompasses Travel Sales, Admin Support, Product, and Customer Service functions. As an independent travel agent, we sell holidays to any destination from our 11 stores across Scotland and Northern Ireland, using multiple channels for booking. Our goal is to provide seamless customer service from initial enquiry to post-travel follow-up, ensuring an exceptional experience.
Role Information
The Travel Consultant role at Stewart Travel is dynamic and fast-paced. We value exceptional customer service and expect you to uphold our core values. You will have the opportunity to tailor holidays to individual needs, showcasing your knowledge and expertise to craft unique travel experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain good knowledge of major tour operators and airline products to meet customer needs and continuously update your product knowledge.
* Represent Stewart Travel Retail by providing exceptional travel advice face-to-face, via email, and over the phone.
* Communicate professionally and confidently, listening to customer needs to find suitable travel solutions.
* Book holidays, including flights, hotels, transfers, and excursions, using correct processes and systems.
* Customize holidays and cruises to meet customer requirements.
* Enhance sales and customer experience by suggesting upgrades and additional products.
* Securely process payments for deposits, holidays, and related expenses.
* Innovate to generate new business opportunities.
* Contribute to team goals and targets, aiming for maximum profit on individual sales.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a travel sales environment.
* Good understanding of travel products, including Tour Operators and Airlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence in engaging with customers face-to-face and online.
* Ability to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced sales environment.
* Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* Flexibility to support other retail branches as needed.
