A growing renewable energy organisation is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to support the expansion of its commercial team. The business delivers low carbon heating solutions across the UK and is experiencing increasing demand for sustainable technologies.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and developing new opportunities for renewable heating projects, typically valued between £15k and £250k. The position focuses on generating and managing a sales pipeline, researching potential clients and building relationships with architects, developers, consultants, M&E contractors and end users.
You will use tools such as LinkedIn, planning portals and industry databases to identify opportunities, while supporting the senior team in maintaining strong client relationships and encouraging repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research platforms, planning portals and industry sources
* Map and engage key contacts within architectural practices, developers, consultants and estates teams
* Conduct outreach to introduce renewable heating solutions and arrange meetings, CPDs and presentations
* Maintain regular communication with existing clients to support long term partnerships
* Attend industry events to network and identify potential projects
* Use LinkedIn and digital tools to support prospecting and relationship building
* Assist with marketing content ideas and general sales administration
* Provide updates on pipeline activity and upcoming opportunities
Requirements
* Experience in business development, sales or account management, ideally within renewables, construction, HVAC, M&E or B2B sectors
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confident using LinkedIn for outreach and networking
* Experience using research or construction project databases is beneficial
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple leads
* Comfortable attending networking events and engaging with senior stakeholders
* Interest in using digital or AI tools to support research and outreach
* Able to commute to Nuneaton Office
* Full UK driving licence preferred
