UK Communications Manager – 12 Month Contract
London (3 days onsite – King's Cross)
We are currently partnering with
Meta
to hire a UK Communications Manager to support its fast-paced UK press office.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of media engagement for one of the world's most high-profile technology companies.
The Role
You will help run a busy and reactive UK press office, managing both proactive and reactive media engagement. The role requires strong judgement, excellent writing skills and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Drafting press statements, op-eds, social content and newsroom posts
* Managing high-priority media inbounds in a timely manner
* Working closely with EMEA and global communications teams
* Partnering cross-functionally with Policy, Legal and Community Operations
* Managing and collaborating with external PR agencies
* Developing and maintaining relationships with tier 1 UK media
* Supporting proactive communications campaigns
Ideal Profile
* 5–8 years' experience in corporate communications
* Strong in-house press office experience (agency-only profiles may not be suitable)
* Background in tech or high-profile consumer-facing brands preferred
* Proven experience handling reactive media
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
* Comfortable working at pace and with sensitive subject matter
* Experience working cross-functionally with Legal and Policy teams
This is a 12-month contract role requiring 3 days per week onsite in London (King's Cross).
