Talent Acquisition Specialist | Build and Lead an In-House Recruitment Function
If you’re currently in recruitment, either in-house or agency-side, and want a role where you can take real ownership of hiring strategy, this is an opportunity to step into a position with genuine influence across a law firm.
This is not a delivery-only role. You will be responsible for shaping how the firm attracts, hires and retains talent across lawyers, partners and business services, with the autonomy to build processes, improve systems and drive long-term hiring strategy.
The Firm
This is a well-established London law firm with a strong reputation across media, entertainment, technology and creative industries. The firm acts for a diverse client base including individuals, global brands and businesses across sectors such as film, television, music, sport, fashion, publishing and digital media. The work is commercially focused and often sits at the intersection of law, business and culture.
Internally, the firm combines specialist expertise with a collaborative structure, where support functions are closely aligned with fee-earning teams. Talent acquisition plays a central role in supporting the firm’s growth, particularly as it continues to evolve its offering across emerging areas such as technology and AI.
The Role
You will take ownership of talent acquisition across the firm, leading on hiring strategy and delivery for lawyers, partners, business services and support staff. This is a hands-on role where you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle while also building and improving the firm’s overall approach to hiring. You will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to understand hiring needs, develop talent pipelines and deliver effective recruitment strategies.
You will be responsible for driving direct sourcing activity, using a range of tools including LinkedIn, job boards, internal referrals and market mapping to attract high-quality candidates. Alongside this, you will manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring value and alignment with the firm’s hiring objectives.
A key part of the role will be improving systems and processes. You will take ownership of the firm’s applicant tracking system, introduce new tools where appropriate, and ensure recruitment activity is measured, tracked and continuously improved. You will also provide guidance and training to hiring managers, helping them make better hiring decisions and ensuring a consistent, high-quality recruitment experience across the firm.
