JOB SUMMARY: Industrial Controls Engineer with a product-specific focus for on-time delivery of new embedded products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Participate actively in regular scrum meetings to support Agile methodologies.
2. Develop sustainable features and products to meet the roadmap commitments.
3. Contribute code (for products and scripting) into DVCS repositories.
4. Understand and apply regional and customer standards/specifications.
5. Support root-cause analysis and reproduce reported issues for efficient resolution.
6. Maintain updated documentation for department inputs, project artifacts, and engineering processes.
7. Support the development of internal and external resources following best engineering practices.
8. Implement Henrob standard products to meet stakeholder needs, interfacing with various groups to gather requirements.
9. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
10. Proficiency in OOP design and scripting (C#, C++, Python, ST).
11. Ability to contribute to a global engineering community; familiarity with other languages is a plus.
12. Team-oriented, problem solver with a focus on reducing waste.
13. Willingness to travel locally and globally as needed.
14. Knowledge of hardware components in industrial control systems and IEC schematics.
15. Ability to anticipate system behavior in various scenarios.
16. Strong IT, self-management, and organizational skills.
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Ability to define requirements via User Stories and supported test cases.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires being based at our office in Deeside, Wales.
