Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control team. You will oversee all credit control activities within the company, managing a small team of Credit Controllers.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and oversee the credit control team and their portfolio of debtor accounts, ensuring adherence to company processes, credit and payment terms, and credit checks.
2. Produce and analyze debt reports, reporting risks, variances, and action plans.
3. Forecast cash flow on a monthly basis.
4. Maintain reports on credit applications, payments, bad debts, and provide relevant analyses.
5. Handle bad debt collection processes, including small claims, insurance, and correspondence.
6. Work with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
7. Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies within specified timeframes.
8. Support daily credit control activities as needed.
9. Develop strategic partnerships across management, promoting communication, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
10. Review and maintain the company's credit policy.
11. Liaise with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy adherence.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
* Good knowledge of credit control functions within a business.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Details
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
