An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Services Team for a committed and flexible individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Adult Social Care teams in the North Derbyshire Dales area. You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential. This is an office-based role (not hybrid).
What will I be doing
* Provide administrative support to Group & Service Managers, including minute taking at meetings.
* Coordinate diaries and meetings.
* Liaise with internal and external clients and professionals.
* Utilise the internal client system and provide general IT support to colleagues.
* Handle financial tasks such as petty cash, debit card holder duties, and use internal financial systems following set guidance.
* Coordinate, support and assist with recruitment of operational staff in line with HR processes.
* Supervise staff, oversee day-to-day tasks to ensure they are completed efficiently and effectively, and support with performance and attendance management of business services colleagues.
Skills and Experience
* Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages.
* Ability to supervise staff.
* Ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
* Experience of working in a busy office environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Ability to interpret information and analyse data.
* Assist and support with streamlining processes and implementation.
* Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
* Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
* Enthusiasm and transferable skills.
