We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement / Administrator to join our Primary Care team at HMP Brinsford, a Category C prison located in Featherstone.
HMP Brinsford is a prison for male prisoners aged 18-21 years. Our healthcare services include GP, inpatient, Mental Health, Nursing, and Substance Misuse Services. We are recruiting for a Patient Engagement / Administrator to support the Healthcare team.
Hours: 08:00 - 16:00, Monday - Friday
Salary: This full-time position offers an annual salary up to £27,582 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidate requirements: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment are subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Schedule patient appointments and manage waiting lists via SystmOne and other systems
* Deliver high-quality, confidential administrative support to the healthcare team
* Manage and maintain clinical and non-clinical records in line with GDPR and internal policies
* Lead initiatives to improve patient experience, feedback collection, and communication
* Develop and facilitate patient and family forums, surveys, and health promotion activities
* Act as a point of contact for patient queries, concerns, or suggestions
* Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to implement service improvements based on patient feedback
* Support induction and education of new patients on healthcare access and pathways
* Ensure equitable engagement with diverse patient populations, including those with complex needs or low literacy levels

Minimum requirements
* Proven experience in administration, ideally in healthcare, prison, or public sector
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
