As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will manage, develop, and lead the team of in-house hygiene technicians, safely and effectively while driving behavioural safety within the team to achieve and maintain a “Audit Ready Standards” approach to site cleaning standards.
Responsibilities
* Own their responsibilities and ensure team members clearly understand what they need to do daily.
* Create a positive and safe working environment with team members.
* Report daily issues, including personnel, to their supervisors in a timely manner.
* Ensure all staff understand and follow all procedures throughout the factory.
* Take ownership of duties in the assigned area, including machinery, personnel training, and daily hygiene cleaning documents.
* Under the direction of the Hygiene Supervisor, deliver hygiene-related tasks and maintain compliance on the shift.
* Meet greenhouse safety goals by delivering audits and maintaining safe working conditions.
* Control hygiene team members to ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to guidelines.
* Identify issues as they arise and report to the Hygiene Supervisor; complete related records accurately and on time.
* Ensure hygiene operatives cleaning machines follow guidelines as per CIC and maintain clean equipment.
* Manage hygiene staff on the shift to be proactive and perform duties safely and effectively.
* Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report damages.
* Supervise allocated hygiene staff to ensure smooth shift operation and task completion.
* Keep production areas tidy, floors clear, and rubbish removed; arrange interim cleaning of work surfaces as needed.
* Participate in deep cleans and be responsible for hygiene factory documents.
* Ensure the tray wash machine and conveyors operate smoothly and provide clean trays for Production, reporting issues as needed.
* Understand hygiene key inspection points from CIC and prioritize tasks accordingly.
* Report Health and Safety issues or accidents immediately to the Hygiene Supervisor or Hygiene Manager.
* Foster a positive working environment through constructive people engagement.
* Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe handling of chemicals; replenish chemicals as required.
