To achieve this, in-store staff must be motivated, confident, effective communicators, and passionate about a career in sales.
Working closely with the Sales Management team, your role will be varied and challenging, encompassing the following responsibilities:
* Forward planning of stock for all customers
* Collaborating with Key Account Managers to meet customer forecast/requirements
* Distributing stock efficiently across forecast channels to meet customer needs
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date forecast channels on internal systems
* Reviewing lines flagged for exceeding forecast quantities
* Coordinating stock orders with internal departments for promotions
* Monitoring and reporting on underperformance or clearance stock
* Raising factory orders and managing minimum order quantities (MOQ)
* Consulting with overseas factories to ensure timely manufacturing of purchase orders
* Maintaining accurate lead times and minimums from factories
* Collaborating with shipping and warehouse teams to optimize container fills and deliveries
* Ensuring stock is correctly located within the warehouse
* Tracking forward sales orders and planning rebuys accordingly
* Working with the Product team to review the weekly Critical Path for new season launches
* Highlighting slow-moving or aged stock
* Generating on-demand reports for Managers/Directors as required
* Identifying overstock, understock, best sellers, and slow sellers
Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Merchandiser or Assistant in the fashion or retail sector
* Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions, SUMIF)
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience in trend and forecast analysis within retail or wholesale environments, reporting directly to MDs
* Ability to interpret data and make decisions to optimize sales and stock efficiency
* Strong understanding of range planning, demand forecasting, and stock management
