Academics are supporting several high-achieving secondary schools across Essex who are looking to appoint a committed English Teacher for roles in Chelmsford from April 2026, or earlier where available.
As an English Teacher in Chelmsford, you will design and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3-KS4, meeting the needs of varied learners while playing a key role in school life. Schools in Chelmsford foster teamwork, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Role Overview:* Confident English Teacher teaching KS3-KS4.* Excellent subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.* Full-time, Monday to Friday.* Contract may continue through to the Summer term.* Experience supporting challenging behaviour welcomed but not essential.
Person Specification:* Clear and structured teaching approach.* Passion for raising attainment in English.* Experience teaching in a secondary setting at KS3-KS4.* UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or 4+ years overseas secondary experience.* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).* Adaptable, motivated, and committed to education.* Determined to positively influence young peoples futures.* A strong role model who builds confidence and resilience.
