As the face of Royal Mail you will work as part of a team to deliver high standards of service. You will be the public face of Royal Mail, often involved in outdoor work and driving between Mail Centres and Delivery offices.
Responsibilities
* Drive and deliver within your round, including collecting bulk mail from major customers and Post Offices.
* Transport mail between Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times.
* Load and unload your van and sort mail for onward distribution.
About You
* Upbeat and self-motivated, comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
* Flexible with shift patterns; outdoors in all weather; able to walk as part of the round.
* Some experience in a customer-facing role is ideal.
Driving Licence Requirements
* A C1 Category licence (at your current UK address) with no more than 6 penalty points is essential; a clean licence is preferred.
* Must have Periodic Driver CPC qualification and hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training.
* Must be able to present your Digital Tachograph Card if selected for assessment.
Pay and Benefits
* You will be paid weekly, plus overtime and shift allowance where applicable.
* Salary: £602.60 per week pro rata.
* Hours: permanent part-time contracts, 29 hours per week. The days/hours are Mondays 13:00-22:00, Fridays 05:00-13:00, Saturdays 05:10-17:10.
* Holiday entitlement starts at 22.5 days (pro-rata); contributory pension; career development opportunities.
* Full uniform provided (for contracts longer than 3 months); maternity/paternity leave policy; cycle-to-work scheme; discounts on travel, fashion, health and wellbeing.
