KS2 Teaching Assistant – General TA | Blackpool | January Start Location: Blackpool Start Date: January 2026 (after the Christmas break) Position Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool to recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2. About the Role: As a General Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils across KS2 in both group and one-to-one settings Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment Provide support with classroom management and behaviour Contribute to the overall wellbeing and progress of pupils The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting Be confident supporting pupils with varying needs and abilities Be proactive, patient, and enthusiastic Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
