You play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of Learning & Capability across EMEA. By leveraging data-driven insights, you inform decisions, identify capability gaps, and help build a more agile, high-performing workforce. Through compelling engagement strategies and storytelling, you ensure learning solutions connect with diverse audiences, drive adoption, and deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Insights & Decision Support: Lead the synthesis of learning and capability data from multiple resources to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities across Canon EMEA.
* Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic priorities, solution design and workforce capability planning.
* Influence the evolution of Learning and Capability strategy through evidence-based recommendations that support organisational agility and transformation.
* Engagement Strategy & Engagement Design: Own the development and execution of integrated engagement strategies, that drive awareness, adoption, and impact of learning and capability solutions.
* Apply behavioural science and audience segmentation to personalise messaging and optimise learner experience.
* Craft compelling narratives that connect data, strategy and business outcomes, enhancing stakeholder understanding and buy-in.
* Continuously improve communication channels and engagement methodologies, applying principles of simplicity, agility and impact.
* Stakeholder Influence and Collaboration: Build trusted relationships across central and local HR, Bus and functions stakeholders to align efforts and amplify impact.
* Shape how the L&C function engages employees, ensuring learning is built into key moments (e.g. onboarding, career transitions, and performance management) so development feels timely, relevant, and embedded in the employee experience.
* Partner with CCMS to maintain alignment with corporate standards and elevate visibility and impact of learning and capability initiatives.
* Governance and Continuous Improvement: Partner with the Design and Standards Lead to ensure insights inform solution development and performance tracking.
* Champion feedback loops and agile iteration to continuously improve engagement and communication effectiveness.
* Lead the governance and optimisation of digital learning platforms (CDH, Percipio, SharePoint, Engage…), ensuring accessibility, relevance, and learner-centric design.
* Data Visualisation & Reporting: Partner the Budgeting and Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain dashboards that visualise capability trends, engagement metrics and business impact.
* Monitor engagement performance indicators to assess effectiveness, guide future investments and inform L&C strategic decision making.
* Explore emerging methodologies and data tools (e.g., AI, automation) to enhance insight generation and engagement strategies.
Qualifications
* Proven expertise in strategic communications, employee engagement, or L&D strategy.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets and translate them into strategic action.
* Exceptional storytelling and narrative building capabilities that influence senior stakeholders.
* Skilled in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration and influencing across a matrixed organisation.
* Experience with digital learning platform, data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) and engagement analytics.
* Familiarity with behavioural science, marketing principles, and emerging technologies in learning and engagement
