Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for Drivers to join our Vehicle Solutions team. You will be ensuring the timely delivery and collection of vehicles to customers nationwide daily, whilst maintaining accurate vehicle checks and high standards of vehicle cleanliness.
As a regionally based rental company, we have strategically placed our locations for national coverage. Our Ipswich location primarily covers a 100mi radius of London, however we proudly serve customers across the country within regulated driving hours
Your responsibilities look a lot like…
1. Cleaning and preparing a real mix of vehicles – ranging from small cars to large 7.5T trucks – ready for their rental journey with our varied customer base.
2. As part of our 22-point safety & pre-rental checks, you are taking ownership of vehicle cleanliness and readiness
3. Vehicles are valeted to the best of your ability. Our existing team take immense pride in our vehicles to set off the greatest possible start to our customers' new rental vehicle
4. Delivering and collecting vehicles by means of driving as part of a team - we do not travel by public transport / no trade plate driving
5. To be the face of our brand – Radius Vehicle Solutions – in delivering vehicles in a professional, courteous & timely manner
6. Appraising and inspecting vehicles with the customer present, to capture signatures in acceptance of Terms and Conditions
7. Demonstrating key features and controls where a customer may request
8. Report any and all vehicle defects during, such as dashboard warning info, service schedules, vehicle wear and tear, to rental administrators for workshop attention
9. Using the RVS “Traffic Light System”, keep stock levels in-flow and yard space accurately categorised, reflecting stock availability
10. Appraising vehicles for sale to motor traders
11. Moving vehicles between branches to maintain equal stock levels
Getting off to the best start in your new role looks like…
12. Holding a full driving licence is essential in this driving role.
13. Due to conditions within our Motor Traders Insurance Policy we are unable to accept applicants under the age of 25
14. Our business is 80% vans, you will be driving commercial vehicles such as LWB panel vans, dropside tippers and luton boxes, therefore experience is appreciated.
15. You are a self-motivating, punctual individual
16. Being flexible with start and finish times where agreed with prior planning
17. Dynamic and reactive to new tasks, as our pre-planned days tend to change by the hour in line with customer and internal demand
18. Being work-proud, understanding the value of your contribution to business and customers
