Join Siemens Healthineers as a Process Engineer responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement of reagent manufacturing processes. This role ensures high uptime of critical systems including the DI water plant, steam boilers, and sterile pumping systems, balancing hands‑on technical repair with office tasks such as contractor management, change‑control documentation, and part ordering.
Your Role:
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial reactor systems including pressure vessels, sterile pumps, pouch bagging fillers, sterile steam systems, and the DI water plant.
* Supervise onsite contractors by reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensuring compliance with site safety protocols.
* Coordinate up to 20 external contractors during the annual two‑week maintenance shutdown in May to ensure all servicing is completed on schedule.
* Manage procurement of spare parts and maintain professional relationships with equipment vendors.
* Execute validation protocols for new or modified equipment within the medical device regulatory framework.
* Lead root‑cause analysis investigations into process failures or product quality issues using established problem‑solving methodologies.
* Manage all process modifications through the formal site change‑control system.
* Provide engineering support to the entire manufacturing plant during on‑call rotations.
Your Expertise:
* Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and maintenance of automated systems.
* Strong technical problem‑solving using structured methods such as 5‑Why, Ishikawa, or DMAIC.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, process instructions, and quality standards.
* Experience coordinating maintenance, calibrations, and engineering interventions during live production.
* Contractor management ensuring safety compliance.
* Leadership experience enforcing safety rules, quality discipline, and procedural compliance.
* Experience with CMMS systems.
* Confidence using production and maintenance data to identify emerging risks.
