We are looking for an organised and dynamic Transport Co-ordinator for a full-time, Permanent position. Noble Recruiting have the pleasure of supporting a professional, yet friendly Client based in Rochford, Essex.
Please note: you MUST have own transport due to the location of the company.
Your Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules and delivery routes to ensure efficient, timely deliveries.
· Liaise with drivers, the Port, sales teams, and third-party hauliers to ensure smooth transport operations.
· Produce pick notes, delivery notes, journey manifests, and other transport documentation.
· Raise purchase orders and support invoicing processes.
· Manage PODs, pick notes, and all associated branch and transport paperwork.
· Coordinate vehicle and driver schedules, including agency drivers where required.
· Support the Port in producing pick and delivery documentation and arranging transport from the bulk distribution shed.
· Monitor and respond to transport-related issues such as delays, customer queries, or operational disruptions.
· Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, deliveries, and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations.
· Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider site team to support day-to-day branch operations.
· Contribute ideas to improve transport and branch processes as the site continues to develop.
Person Specification:
· Proven experience in a transport, logistics, or coordination role within a fast-paced environment.
· Experience producing pick notes, PODs, delivery paperwork, and handling branch administration.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance transport planning and admin duties.
· Confident liaising with drivers, ports, hauliers, and internal teams.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and transport or warehouse systems.
· Awareness of transport-related health & safety requirements.
· A flexible, hands-on approach suited to a small team environment.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
