Job Description Bright Flag Recruiting on behalf of Prime Haule, Inc. is hiring a Fleet Mechanic in Norfolk, VA. As a Fleet Mechanic, you’ll support maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles, including vans, step vans, and box trucks. Responsible for timely, quality, and cost-effective repairs to keep the fleet running safely and efficiently. Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay Range: $50,000-$60,000 annually Paid Weekly Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance starting immediately upon hire 401k and Life Insurance after 90 days Company provided Service Vehicle Company provided gas and EX Pass toll expense cards Tools and equipment not provided, but can replace service tools as needed Schedule Flexible schedule, onsite as needed Must be available to service vehicles during all operating hours Terminal Location is 2555 Ellsmere Ave, Norfolk, VA 23513 Vehicles may need serviced on route which can go to Eastern Shore over Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge. Responsibilities Perform accurate and efficient service, including: Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs Preventative maintenance on both gas and diesel vehicles Oil, Fluids, Brakes, Rotors, Tires, Wheel Bearings, Ball Joints, changes/maintenance Inspect, replace, and repair defective parts Previous experience with light welding, wiring, or electrical work strongly preferred! Maintain clear, organized maintenance records Must have and maintain own set of industry-standard tools necessary to perform daily job duties. Communicate effectively with team members and management Troubleshoot electrical issues and in-cab systems Complete minor body repairs as needed Manage parts inventory and communicate needs Respond to after-hours service calls when required Qualifications 2 years of truck/fleet maintenance experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Active Driver's License Must pass background check and drug test Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles Mechanically inclined and able to work independently Military background welcomed but not required
