Serving a plethora of food and beverages, here at The Firepit we like to ensure we go above and beyond when it comes to service. Whether this is explaining the 350 degree "steak on the stone" or simply recommending a wine paring we pride ourselves in exceeding customers' expectations.
We are on the search for a talented Head Chef with experience preparing quality food in a high pace environment. The successful candidate will be in charge of both culinary and administrative duties, whilst communicating with the Managing director, General Manager, and the whole kitchen team. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to food quality and sets high standards.
The job role includes:
* Controlling and directing the food preparation process.
* Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer.
* Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels.
* Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.
* Determining food inventory needs, re stocking and ordering.
* Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
* Being responsible for health and safety.
* Being responsible for food hygiene practices.
* Creating and publishing rotas.
* Monitor and manage staff hours.
* Supervise performance of kitchen staff to ensure proper activity.
Requirements:
· 2+ years managing a kitchen.
· Knowledge of best practice for training kitchen staff.
· High communication skills.
· An eye for detail.
