Job summary Marple Medical Practice are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our multi-disciplinary team. The Healthcare Assistant will work as part of the practice clinical team to provide high quality, person-centred care to patients. The role involves supporting GPs, Practice Nurses, and other clinicians in the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services, including clinical duties, administrative support and health promotion activies. Main duties of the job To support the practice nursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrative services, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The Healthcare Assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, monitoring long term conditions, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.. About us Our team comprises 2 GP Partners and 2 salaried GPs, supported by a multidisciplinary team including 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, a First Contact Practitioner, and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, alongside skilled administrative staff. Located in large friendly village of Marple, South Stockport, we serve a patient list of approximately 7,000. We are part of the Stockport SES PCN, working closely with PCN colleagues and ARRS staff to enhance capacity and maintain high standards of patient care. Primary key responsibilities The following are the core responsibilities of the Healthcare Assistant. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: Undertake new patient health checks & other health screening.
