Your main aim will be to supervise and manage a team of cleaning staff, undertaking daily inspections of the site and ensuring your team are working productively and safely.
You will be working Monday to Friday, 15:00 to 22:00, on a permanent full-time basis, 15:00 to 22:00, 32.5 hours per week.
You will also:
1. Ensure flexible, suitable, and safe manning levels are maintained across all shifts to ensure service meets its contractual requirement.
2. Organise rotas and complete wage and other paperwork
3. Manage equipment, materials and stock levels
4. Carry out general cleaning duties
5. Control costs to ensure services are delivered within agreed budget
6. Supervise quality control procedures to ensure high standards are maintained
7. Conduct team briefings to cascade information to staff
8. Develop good working practices and relationships to support staff. To include engagement, motivation, discipline, safety, and general welfare of the staff under their supervision.
9. Provide leadership, direction, and delegation to staff. Promote and share best practice.
10. Producing a month end service report for Soft Services Facilities Manager, based on the data gathered and analysed throughout the month.
11. Effectively supervise, train, motivate, discipline and ensure the safety and general welfare of staff in accordance with OCS policies, procedures and training plan.
12. Be responsible and accountable for overall day to day operations of the OCS team.
13. Ensure that all comments/complaints are fully investigated, and findings reported to the Soft Services Facilities Management team in a timely manner.
14. Utilise the auditing system in order to monitor and generate data reports.
15. Use the generated data to manage team performance, ensuring the KPIs set by the Management are met.
16. Provide leadership, direction, and delegation to staff under their supervision. Co-ordinate the Cleaning service and other services ensuring contractual specifications are met.
17. Work alongside HR & Training Manager to ensure any changes or developments which will enhance the staff development are met. Ensure the mandatory training is completed in a timely manner.
18. Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
To succeed in this role you will need:
19. Experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry
20. Full driving licence
21. A Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
22. GCSE level grade C and above
23. Excellent PC skills with full Microsoft office knowledge
24. Budgeting knowledge
25. Proven experience of improving team performance
26. Experience –previous experience –desirable/essential for technical competence of the role
27. Managerial experience in a team of 25 people or over
