Job Description
Midweight Interior Designer
Hungerford | Full-time | Salary dependent on experience
There are moments in your career where the next move isn’t just about a new role, it’s about stepping into the kind of work you’ve always wanted to be part of.
Our client is a globally recognised interior design studio, known for delivering layered, characterful interiors across some of the most exciting private residential projects in the world. From countryside estates in the UK to villas in the Middle East and boutique hospitality projects in Europe, their work is detailed, personal, and uncompromising in quality.
Following a strong period of growth and a series of new international project wins, they are now looking to bring in a Midweight Interior Designer to support the delivery of this expanding portfolio.
This is a studio where design matters, but so does involvement. You will not be siloed into one phase or one task. Instead, you will be trusted to contribute across the full lifecycle of a project, developing your skills while playing a meaningful role in bringing each scheme to life.
The role
You will work closely with the senior team to support the delivery of multiple high-end residential projects, both in the UK and internationally.
From early concept work through to detailed design, procurement, and installation, you will be involved in the full process, gaining exposure to every stage while building confidence in your own ownership.
This is a hands-on role within a small, close-knit team, where your contribution will be visible and valued from day one.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the delivery of high-end residential projects from concept through to completion
* Assisting with design development, including layouts, material palettes, and FF&E selections
* Producing drawings, plans, and presentation material to a high standard
* Contributing to bespoke joinery and furniture design
* Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and consultants
* Supporting procurement processes, schedules, and project coordination
* Attending site visits and assisting with installations where required
What they’re looking for
* 3–5 years’ experience within a reputable interior design studio
* Exposure to high-end residential projects, ideally from concept through to delivery
* Strong design sensibility with a clear eye for detail, materiality, and composition
* Confident using AutoCAD and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
* Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working in a smaller studio, where you will take on a broad and varied role
* Strong communication skills, both internally and with external stakeholders
The studio
This is a small, highly regarded design studio with a global client base and a growing pipeline of international work. The team is tight-knit, collaborative, and design-led, with a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.
Why this role stands out
* Exposure to beautifully crafted, high-value residential projects across the globe
* The opportunity to work closely with senior designers and learn at a pace
* Real involvement across the full design and delivery process
* A creative, non-corporate studio environment where your voice is heard
* A clear pathway to step into a Senior position as you grow
If you’re at the stage where you want more than just production work and are ready to step into a role where you can truly develop as a designer while working on exceptional projects, this is exactly that opportunity.
