Active Pathways is excited to announce an opportunity for compassionate Senior Recovery Support Workers to join our new 10-bed rehabilitation service, Heathy House, in Halifax. This residential service focuses on providing a step-down facility, helping individuals transition towards independent living.
Location, hours and pay
Location: Heathy House, Halifax, West Yorkshire
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Salary:£27,727.70 per annum / £13.85 per hour + £15.35 overtime
Working hours: 7:45am to 7:45pm on a rotating two-week rota
About the role
As a Senior Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals.
Responsibilities
* Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.
* Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.
* Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
* Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care.
* Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.
* Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Requirements
* Experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
* A strong understanding of care plans and risk assessments.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* A commitment to promoting recovery and social inclusion.
