Make your mark in Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) Our Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) team provides first class advice to colleagues and functions across the organization – ensuring AIG navigates an ever-changing landscape that spans state, federal, and international lines. The team has a multi-dimensional impact, from helping avoid legal exposure to collaborating with other functions to develop cutting-edge new products. How you will create an impact This is a varied and dynamic role where you will be supporting the Governance/Company Secretariat and Corporate Legal team with a range of company secretarial and administrative duties. You will support the management of multiple boards in the UK and Europe and you will gain exposure to statutory compliance, board support, and entity management. This role involves dealing with people at all levels within the business, including senior management and the Board, which is comprised of executive and independent non-executive directors. Some of the key responsibilities include: Scheduling Board and committee meetings Undertaking all admin tasks related to Board meeting preparation, including but not limited to: Creating first draft of agendas Sending out reminders for paper submission deadlines Chasing late papers Arranging printing, binding and delivery of meeting packs for Board Chair Creating annotated agenda for Chairs Sending meeting invites to presenters for their items Arranging catering for Board and committee meetings and Board dinner Ad-hoc Board support tasks as may be required Scheduling meetings between INEDs and senior executives Supporting the management of Board and Committee meetings timetabling and agenda planning Minutes taking Collating and issuing meeting packs using Diligent BoardBooks Maintaining key Board registers and records such as Register of Conflicts and Related Parties, and Directors’ training records Managing Companies House and other regulatory filings Maintenance of statutory registers, including filing of executed Board minutes, resolutions, bank mandates etc Managing document and minutes execution process, including processing of legal documents to be notarised and apostilled Managing the department’s template library Support requests for meeting papers and minutes for internal audits and year-end external audits Support requests for corporate information and documents internally (e.g., for licensing, tenders, POAs) and externally (e.g., for compliance, KYC/AML/DD). Updating the group structure chart Other ad-hoc company secretarial and admin tasks as may be required, as well as supporting ad-hoc projects What you’ll need to succeed Previous Company Secretarial experience, including minute taking Part CGI qualified (or studying towards) is an advantage, but not essential Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset Experience using entity management systems such as Blueprint or Diligent Entities and Board portals such as Diligent BoardBooks (or equivalent company secretariat tools) Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop strong relationships LI-AIG At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
