Basic £30,000 - £35,000. OTE £60,000 - £70,000
Edmund & Evans are working with a highly respected construction recruitment group to appoint a Senior Consultant or Managing Consultant into a newly developing brand within their portfolio.
This is a genuine growth hire. Not a replacement.
The wider group has over 16 years of credibility within construction recruitment, with deep-rooted client relationships across main contracting, subcontracting, consultancy and civil engineering. The leadership team is made up of individuals with direct construction backgrounds, and the business has built its name on market knowledge, professionalism and long-term partnerships rather than volume.
The new division has the financial backing, infrastructure and brand reputation of the wider group. What it requires now is a proven construction recruiter who wants more ownership and influence.
The Opportunity
You will step into a position that combines billing responsibility with genuine strategic input.
This is effectively a number two hire. Someone capable of producing strong gross margin while supporting the growth and future management of additional consultants as the team expands.
You will not be constrained by heavy internal politics or unnecessary structure. You will have autonomy, flexibility and the ability to shape something that you will have a stake in.

The Role
A full 360 position within the construction and built environment market.
You will:
Leverage and develop your existing network
Generate consistent, high-quality gross margin
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of work
Operate independently without constant supervision
Recruit across permanent, temporary or both markets
Contribute to hiring, mentoring and shaping future team members
This is a revenue-led role, but with leadership exposure from the outset.
Who This Is For
This opportunity is aimed at experienced construction recruiters who:
Have a minimum of three years experience within the built environment sector
Have billed £200,000+ annually across the last two to three years
Are based within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or North West London outskirts
Have operated across consultancy, M&E, main contracting or related markets
Can demonstrate genuine business development ability beyond PSL reliance
Are self-starting, disciplined and commercially driven
You must be capable of building and sustaining your own pipeline. This is not a desk inheriting role.
