Mane Infrastructure are on the look for a Setting Out Engineer to work on a 3.2 GW nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast. The project focuses on low-carbon energy, with current civil works including site preparations, earthworks, and infrastructure development.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a long-term project working on trackside civils works. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting out, surveying, and supporting site delivery to ensure works are completed accurately, safely, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and surveying using Total Stations, GPS, and EDM
Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications
Carrying out quality inspections to ensure works meet required standards
Providing site support to subcontractors, including guidance and coordination
Assisting with general site engineering duties as required
Working within a trackside environment, adhering to all safety and compliance requirements
Requirements
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, ideally within rail or trackside civils
Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS, EDM)
Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
Experience working with subcontractors on site
Trackside Civils experience essential
PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Package
Circa £350 per day, highly negotiable depending on experience
Flexible package options, including rate uplift or lodging allowance
