About the role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of specialist and mainstream schools across Derby City Centre (DE1), and we are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to provide flexible supply support starting in September.
These roles are ideal for individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. Whether you’re available on a full-time or part-time basis, we would like to hear from you.
You may be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH. A background in SEN support, care, or working with vulnerable individuals is highly desirable. Some roles may involve personal care responsibilities, so a proactive, compassionate, and hands-on approach is essential.
Assignment details
SEN supply roles starting September, running throughout the autumn term. Long-term placements may be available for the right candidates.

Person specification
* A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children
* GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above
* Experience in SEN, care, or support settings
* Willingness to support with personal care if required
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
