The Role
You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely bookkeeping services across a varied portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
Managing sales and purchase ledgers and the nominal ledger up to trial balance
Handling bank reconciliations and processing client transactions
Preparing VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks
Liaising professionally with clients to address queries and request documentation
Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties
This role offers the chance to work autonomously while being part of a supportive team environment.
RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role you will have:
Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally from a practice environment or as a self-employed professional
Confidence using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A proactive and client-centric approach
A bookkeeping or accountancy qualification (eg AAT) or relevant experience
