Our client is a highly regarded firm, working on some of the most high-profile matters in healthcare. They are looking to hire a senior lawyer, specialising in commercial property litigation matters, on a consultancy basis.
The firm will provide consultants with interesting and challenging work with clients across the healthcare sector; there is no requirement to bring clients or bid for work. The firm attracts high calibre lawyers who want complex and interesting work, as well as control over the hours and location from which they work. In return, the consultant lawyers will receive a competitive share of their billings.
The caseload will include an array of matters, including:
1. Property and building disputes
2. Landlord & Tenant Act matters
3. Valuation issues
4. Restrictive covenants
5. Breach of covenants
6. Contentious property matters stemming from partnership disputes
7. Service charge and rent arrears
8. NHS Regulatory advice
Clients introduced to you will be primary care professionals (to include dentists, pharmacists, and doctors, for example), so any relevant sector experience would be advantageous but not a prerequisite as training in the relevant regulations will be provided. However, an interest in understanding the primary care sector is vital. It is also paramount that lawyers demonstrate a willingness to provide an outstanding level of client care.
This consultancy position is non-exclusive, and consultants have freedom over where they work geographically, as long as time-zones do not prove problematic from a client care and service perspective.
Successful lawyers are likely to have a very strong background in private practice and possess upwards of 10 years’ PQE.
