Join to apply for the Youth Floating Support Workers role at MACS Supporting Children & Young People.
Youth Floating Support Workers supports young people aged 16-25 in the community who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining their tenancy. On average 15 young people are supported with individualised support based on support planning, ongoing assessment/review and keeping safe where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all young people are cared for by appropriate staff. Workers will meet the needs of the young people.
* Adhere to NISCC Standard of Conduct and MACS Policies and Procedures including, Child Protection, Adult Safeguarding and Lone Worker in order to safeguard and protect Young People and Staff.
* Provide Holistic Support (one to one and group) to all young people accessing the service.
* Identify Support Plans in partnership with Young People and Professionals/Service where appropriate and take the lead in creating safety plans and ensuring regular reviews.
* Provide awareness of the Housing Rights of Young People and advocate on their behalf.
* Work effectively within a team and ensure information is communicated with Young People and external agencies.
Key Requirements
* 1 year experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or similar environment
* OR Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar AND 6 months experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support.
* A full, current driving license with access to a car, insured for business use is required to meet the requirements of the post in full.

Salary: £25,545 Pro rata
