As Customer Procurement Manager, you will be supplier and customer facing, responsible for managing key strategic customers, across Independent, National and Freetrade customers as well as supporting the business in winning tenders.
You will manage supplier relationships to negotiate rebates and support with winning new business for Bidfood. You will also undertake category reviews on behalf of customers, examine range rationalisation opportunities as well as cost saving initiatives. You will present product innovation opportunities to the customer to support with maximising their sales growth through developing an innovative range
The role is really varied and will give you a sense of challenge on a daily basis. In order to be successful, you will need to be a strong negotiator that has sound commercial acumen, with the ability to present to customers and manage successful customer relationships, as well as work cross functionally with the Category Management team, Contract and Tenders team, National Accounts team, Marketing team and Finance Team.
We are looking to recruit a high calibre individual who is entrepreneurial, with the energy and drive to maximise the growth opportunities of our customers.
You must be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and above all be able to multi task in a timely and efficient manner.
Purchasing or sales experience is required, preferably within the Foodservice/ Wholesale sector.
The ability to drive and travel is an essential part of the role.
