Trainee Paralegal – Dispute Resolution, Stamford, Lincolnshire
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Law or equivalent professional work experience, although training will be given, and have a real passion for litigation work. The successful candidate should have the ability to handle pressure and work to tight deadlines. They will be committed to providing excellent client care and satisfaction.

Key Duties
* Client liaison and assisting with enquiries in relation to both property litigation and dispute resolution matters
* To provide an ongoing service to existing clients
* To work with the two Partners and other Fee Earners in the department to develop new business
* Develop and enhance the Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Department, maximising cross referrals across all offices and areas of the business
* To produce fee income in line with targets and agreed objectives
* To keep informed of all changes in the Law and Practice in own area of work
* Maintain and enhance up to date legal skills
* Maintaining accurate daily records of time spent on client and internal work
* Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the company’s quality and risk procedures
* Assisting with the preparation of and sending out of monthly bills
* Maintaining diaries for court matters
* Assisting with client care paperwork and file closures on conclusion
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and service of all Notices in respect of Property matters e.g. under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, Housing matters, break notices, agricultural tenancies
* Commercial lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
* Dilapidations Claims
* Breach of covenant claims
* Reviewing Land Registry documentation and reporting on the same (training will be given)
* Providing advice and assistance alongside the Partners in matters such as Easements and Boundary Disputes
Role Profile and Person Specification
* Providing advice and assistance alongside the Partners in matters regarding Agricultural tenancies
* Preparation of Residential Possession proceedings and ongoing diary management
* Preparation of Letters Before Action and Preliminary Notices in Consumer Rights Claims, Professional Negligence Claims and Property Disputes other than those detailed above
* Management of Claims run under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act with full supervision and support
* General Litigation/ Breach of Contract

Qualifications
* Law Degree or equivalent work based experience
* PQE 8 years plus or equivalent in contentious matters
* Experience within Law Firm
* Experience within Litigation
Knowledge
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and high levels of computer literacy
* Knowledge of case management systems
* Clear understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations
* Previous experience of Visual Files
