Head of Design Organisation
Make an impact on engineering design while developing your career in a highly regulated environment, influencing the structure of the team, enabling it to work more effectively and efficiently, whilst delivering critical design and airworthiness outcomes.
Your role
1. Lead the design office and oversee airworthiness compliance
2. Ensure all regulatory expositions and procedures are maintained to standard
3. Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
4. Support, mentor and develop engineering personnel across the office
Your experience
5. Technical capability: Experience managing a design office team
6. CAA/EASA regulations, DOA, DAOS, Safety Management System, ISO standards
7. Expert knowledge of commercial aircraft management principles and practices
8. Behavioural capability: People leadership, stakeholder management, cultural and organisational change
9. Engineering degree required, business or management qualification advantageous
10. Compliance Verification Engineer experience preferred
11. Ability to hold accountable manager responsibility for design office operations
12. Strong communication and mentoring skills
What you will need
13. British nationality and UK residency
14. Ability to hold UK Security Clearance (SC) required
15. Experience in aviation design, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance including CAA, EASA, DOA and DAOS
