Derwent FM, part of the Places for People Group, specializes in providing facilities management solutions for university campus buildings and student accommodation. Our service is focused on partnership, client collaboration and the student experience.


Role Overview

The Receptionist is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, providing an exceptional meet & greet service and supporting back‑of‑house functions such as parcel delivery and contractor liaising. This role is based at Sheffield – S4 7UQ. Working patterns: 22.5 hours per week (Mon‑Fri 8am‑12:30pm/Mon‑Fri 12:30pm‑5pm). Basic DBS check is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver outstanding customer service and a professional meet & greet service.
* Support back‑of‑house functions including parcel delivery and contractor liaising.
* Maintain good contacts within the Group and internal departments.
* Assist colleagues with workload and collaborate across the team.
* Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with safeguarding policies.
* Use IT packages such as MS Word and Excel to support daily tasks.


Qualifications

* Experience in a similar role (receptionist or customer service experience).
* Worked within the property industry.
* Experience with IT packages such as MS Word, Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm, professional and direct.
