As our business grows, so does our legal team. We’re looking for a Real Estate Lawyer for our UK hotel business with solid real estate experience and an interest in developing expertise across a range of commercial contracts. What You’ll Do
Real Estate:
* Support and manage legal work on property acquisitions, disposals and development sites, working closely with senior lawyers and external advisers.
* Review, negotiate and advise on key real estate documentation, including contracts, enquiries, TR1s, leases, deeds, guarantees, warranties, title matters, lender requirements and planning documents.
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and FRI leases, variations, assignments, surrenders, licences for alterations, licences to occupy, renewals, and advise on Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 procedures.
* Review construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, and support on variations, extensions of time, claims and contractor negotiations.
Commercial Contracts:
* Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with suppliers, consultants, and commercial partners.
* Support the resolution of day-to-day contractual issues and support the business in identifying and managing commercial risks.
* Provide practical, proactive legal support across a range of commercial matters.
Experience & Skills:
* UK‑qualified lawyer with real estate experience and either some exposure to - or a strong willingness to develop expertise in - commercial contracts work.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and record-keeping.
* Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to support a broad range of in-house legal matters.
* Sound problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to legal and business challenges.
