We are currently looking for an experienced Fleet Planner to join our fantastic team at Tarmac ‘Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near to Loughborough, Leicestershire. As well as Loughborough this role is easily accessible from Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Barrow upon Soar, Syston, Shepshed, Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ibstock, Swadlincote, Measham, Tamworth, Atherstone, Hinkley, Nottingham, Derby, Long Eaton, Kegworth, Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas.
This key role is working as part of a small team. It is office based at The Hub, Mountsorrel. Following probation, where possible, we allow the team to work from home one day a week (either a Monday or Wednesday).

Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the role of Fleet Planner will work with multidisciplinary teams with both internal and external stakeholders including customers, customer service, planning and haulage drivers. The role will also be responsible for:
1. Monitoring ‘on the day’ deliveries and resolving of deliveries issues
2. Planning of next day and future deliveries
3. Handling of inbound and outbound calls and resolving queries
4. Process customer’s orders
5. Raise any safety concerns immediately
6. Proactively chase and inform of changes
7. Complaint handling
8. Effective communication with key stakeholders
9. Accurate recording of data
10. Uphold company values
11. Effective management of assets and materials
12. Sourcing and management of external assets
13. Effective cost management
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Fleet Planner will already have proven experience working in a hectic Planning role but we welcome applications from those who enjoy working in a busy, challenging customer focussed environment dealing with multiple stakeholders.

24. Knowledge of transport law (preferred but not essential)
