Role Summary
As an Alternative Provision Learning Coach, you will support learners across various age groups, including those on the 14‑19 provision pathways. Your responsibilities include fostering academic, personal and social development, assisting during both structured and unstructured learning times, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Indicate your preferred language for correspondence and interview arrangements (Welsh or English).
* If you submit a video application, inform the College in advance.
* Uphold the College’s safeguarding duties and promote the welfare of learners.
* Complete all required pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) if the role involves direct interaction with learners.
* Provide support to teaching, learner experience and service delivery on campus.
* Request flexible working, including limited remote working, in accordance with the College’s Flexible Working Process.
* Discuss accessibility or reasonable adjustment needs with the People & Culture team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in alternative provision or a similar learning environment.
* Commitment to safeguarding and learner welfare.
* Strong communication skills in Welsh or English.
* Ability to work effectively in a campus‑based setting and collaborate with teams.
