Supporter Experience Assistant
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £23,875 per annum
The Hospice is a charity dedicated to the people of Rotherham, offering specialist palliative and end of life care since 1996.
The Role
The Supporter Experience Assistant is the first point of contact for supporters and handles administrative tasks. This role involves providing support, guidance, and stewardship to supporters while managing the operational delivery of departmental transactional requirements related to fundraising and retail activities.
This position is crucial in ensuring supporter care and administrative excellence, requiring accurate and timely responses to queries. The role involves collaboration with various departments, including finance, to proactively address potential risks affecting supporter care and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the main contact for supporter queries and administrative tasks, responding positively and proactively.
2. Assess supporter needs and provide support to minimize multiple contacts.
3. Record donations and donor details accurately and promptly on the supporter database.
4. Proactively suggest alternative support methods for the charity.
5. Assist supporters with digital platforms, event bookings, donations, and collections/deliveries.
6. Enhance supporter engagement and income, capturing additional fundraising methods like Gift Aid and consents.
7. Maintain accurate income records across various areas, including shops, community, corporate, trusts, events, individual giving, and lottery.
8. Manage data entry, supporter care tasks, and maintain records digitally and physically.
9. Promote department services appropriately.
10. Manage databases/CRM systems for accurate reporting.
11. Maintain and audit files and documents.
12. Respond to administrative queries promptly.
13. Manage the department email inbox and distribute workload.
14. Participate in charity events and appeals as required.
Skills and Qualifications
1. At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
2. Experience in fundraising preferred.
3. IT literate.
4. Understanding of fundraising principles and techniques.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience with CRM systems.
