SEN Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School
A fantastic and well-resourced school in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking to recruit SEN Learning Support Assistants for an ASAP start. There are several positions available as a SEN Teaching Assistant across the school.
As a Secondary Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with students in either KS3-KS4. You will be supporting children with a range of SEN needs, including ADHD, Autism / ASD, Dyslexia and SEMH, or as a general Learning Support Assistant in this Secondary School.
The school is keen to appoint bright graduates, or those with experience, with a passion for working with children with SEN. The position of Secondary Learning Support Assistant offers both challenges and rewards. Every day will be different, and you will learn and develop strategies for working with children with SEN. JOB DESCRIPTION - Secondary Learning Support Assistant
· Working in either KS3-KS4
· Supporting students with a range of SEN needs
· Working with students with ADHD, Autism / ASD, SEMH, or Dyslexia
· September start
· Working hours 8.30am - 4.30pm
· Long Term & Full Time (whole academic year)
· £90 - £105 per day + weekly pay!
· Located in inner London - Borough of Tower Hamlets
PERSON SPECIFICATION - Secondary Learning Support Assistant
· Good academics - A levels and GCSEs, Degree graduates are desirable, or those with significant relevant experience
· Good understanding of SEN is required
· Experience in a similar previous role would be ideal
· Passionate about supporting children with SEN
· You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, and be willing to learn
· Calm and compassionate nature
· Reliable, resilient and dedicated
· Ability to demonstrate patience and sensitivity
· You MUST be able to commit until at least July 2025, potential to be extended
