Pemberton Surgery is a forward‑thinking training practice serving approximately 10,400 patients in Wigan, Greater Manchester. We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic four‑session salaried GP to join our supportive and well‑established team.
Job Details
* Salary: £10,000–£10,500 a session (negotiable depending on experience)
* Contract: Fixed term, 12 months
* Working pattern: Part‑time, flexible
* Location: Sherwood Drive, Wigan, Lancashire, WN5 9QX, United Kingdom

Responsibilities
* Deliver routine and urgent GP care
* Assess, diagnose and manage patients appropriately
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team
* Support safe prescribing and clinical governance
* Provide high quality, patient‑centered GP consultations
* Manage clinical caseload supported by triage systems
* Contribute to practice team ways of working
* Work collaboratively within the wider multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
* Essential: Proof of medical degree
* Full GMC registration
* National Performers List
* Proof of CCT certification or equivalent
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience in primary care
Desirable
* Experience in a GP practice
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Strong IT skills
* Clear, polite telephone manner
* Flexible and cooperative
* Motivated, forward thinker
* High levels of integrity and loyalty
* Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations
* Punctual and committed to supporting the team effort
Additional Information
Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
