About the Role
Our client, a welcoming and high-achieving all-through school and sixth form based in Ilford, is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Geography to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Main Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support students’ academic progress through effective assessment and personalised feedback
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum resources
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
* Promote a strong culture of learning and achievement within the department
* Take on the role of form tutor and contribute to the school’s pastoral care
* Participate actively in departmental and whole-school CPD and improvement initiatives
What They Are Looking For
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2025) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related field
* Be passionate about Geography and committed to inspiring students of all abilities
* Have a sound understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements at KS3 and KS4
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
* Be reflective and open to feedback, with a growth mindset and eagerness to develop professionally
* Show a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all students
* Be organised, reliable, and proactive in contributing to school life
