Overview
Press Brake Operator role at TipTopJob, based in Sandbach, Cheshire. We are recruiting several permanent Press Brake Operators in the Cheshire area. The salary depends on the hours/shift pattern, with a £2,000 signing bonus (staggered payment) and regular overtime opportunities paid at time and a third after 39 hours and time and a half after 48 hours.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate press machines (AMADA and/or Edward Pearson) with precision.
* Execute bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
* Produce parts that support assembly operations.
* Read technical drawings and conduct inspections to ensure quality control.
* Transition between shift patterns after completing initial training on day shifts.
* Engage in available overtime opportunities to increase earnings.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within the engineering sector.
* Keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, late evenings, and nights.
* Positive attitude toward learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.
Shift patterns
* Day shifts Monday to Friday (39 hours per week)
* Permanent morning shifts Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
* Permanent afternoon shifts Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
All hires will initially start on day shifts with a lower hourly rate during training, with a pay increase and shift allowance after probation.
