We are looking for a Workforce Management Administrator to join our team at HMP Dovegate, supporting staffing rosters and ensuring posts are covered at all times while enabling staff to undertake training and additional responsibilities.
The Job Opportunity
The Workforce Management Administrator will be responsible for delivering staff working rosters in a cost-effective manner, ensuring coverage and enabling operational needs. You will work on your own initiative, with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Daily Duties Involved
* Support the WFM Lead in ensuring the contract is resourced to deliver the service through WFM best-practice ways of working
* Assist WFM Lead to identify and review business requirements – review and approve changes in demand or capacity plans
* Amend cover shifts based on gaps between demand and actual staffing
* Run staff availability reports to check availability for allocation to overtime/Bed Watch shifts
* Create, amend and delete shifts to manage schedules on a daily basis
* Amend individual staff maximum daily hours to assign additional shifts/hours
* Review staff leave requests and approve leave where appropriate, adding other types of leave to schedules as needed
* Administer rosters, including employee change requests (leaves and shift swaps)
* Review and manage coverage gaps including planned cross-deployment and overtime
What We Are Looking For In Our Candidates
* Recognised qualification in Maths and English
* Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases
* Able to form good working relationships
* Able to work independently and as part of a busy small team
* Solve issues at the earliest stage and present solutions to managers when required
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload
* Ability to work under pressure
