Are you an experienced Design Engineer who is a CAD Design Wizz? Have you experience in mining, shaft sinking, tunnelling, structural or heavy civils design works?
I am delighted to be recruiting for an Engineer for my valued North Yorkshire based client. Please note this is a permanent role with a 6 month probation / contract review period.
Responsibilities
* Designs and implements shaft sinking with mechanised SBR technology.
* To produce construction methods based on design.
* Outstanding CAD experience to produce drawings and alterations for new and existing designs (the majority of the workload is design‑based).
* Develop solutions to engineering and other field‑related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.
* Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and requests for information.
* Maintain Project As‑Built drawings.
* Ensures compliance with job specifications.
* Health and Safety: Authority and responsibility to stop and correct, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
* Follow company health and safety standards and report any unsafe acts or conditions to Safety supervisors.
* Responsible for the use and maintenance of all safety equipment (lanyards, warning signs, labeling) in accordance with company rules and applicable legislation; ensure proper use of personal protective equipment; knowledge of WHMIS legislation and Materials Data Sheets.
* Ideally experienced using SAP software.
* Strong, exceptional high‑level experience using computer‑aided design (CAD) platforms.
* Experience using MS Project, P6 Primavera, MS Office, AutoCAD, 3D‑CAD, Excel, etc.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
* Critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, data analytics skills and experience.
* Ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential.
* Role is subject to a medical; applicant must be physically fit and able to pass a safety‑critical medical and drugs and alcohol screening.
Qualifications
* Applicants must be British or Irish Passport holders or possess a valid Right to Work Visa for work in the UK.
* Role: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week, working either #removed# or 07:00 – 17:00.

* Salary: £58,630 per annum.
