VANRATH is delighted to assist a prestigious client with the recruitment of a pivotal role: Head of Park Operations based in Portrush. This role is ideal for an individual who excels in team management, health & safety standards, and is focused on career growth. Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (Negotiable) + fantastic benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting directly to the CEO, managing site and grounds maintenance activities to create an outstanding environment for guests, owners, and staff.
* Overseeing the upkeep of holiday parks' sites, grounds, and infrastructure.
* Ensuring high standards of security and maintenance for guest and owner satisfaction.
* Leading and inspiring a team of grounds maintenance operatives and security staff (full-time, part-time, seasonal).
* Motivating the team to exceed guest expectations, maintain standards, and comply with health, safety, and HR policies.
* Driving continuous improvement within areas of responsibility.
* Overseeing daily management of work programmes in summer and winter to meet targets and standards.
Essential Criteria:
* 3-5 years' experience in a senior management role.
* At least 3 years' team management experience, including training and development.
* Experience managing external suppliers and subcontractors.
* Experience delivering risk assessments and safe working systems.
* Strong knowledge of site maintenance health and safety policies.
* Experience in cost control and delivering value for money.
* Customer-focused experience, preferably in the holiday park/tourism sector.
* Proficient in ICT and computer literacy.
* Flexible, adaptable, and motivational leadership skills.
* Full UK or NI driving license.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in site/grounds maintenance improvement and quality control.
* Experience managing plant, vehicles, and machinery.
* 2+ years in the caravan industry.
* Experience in large-scale project management, utility management, and contract tendering.
* Knowledge of site safety protocols, risk assessments, and budget control.
* Experience setting and meeting KPIs.
* Health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH).
* Experience in recruitment and team performance monitoring.
