A Day in the Life
The Territory Sales Manager (TM) will hold the overall responsibility for selling the diabetes portfolio and achieving sales targets in line with the UK Sales and Marketing strategy. This is a strategic account development role, identifying and liaising with key decision makers and influencers. The TM will work closely with the Technical Consultant and District Sales Manager to ensure successful business growth in the Scotland territory.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation, reallocate investments, and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation aims to enable greater speed, agility, and innovation, enhancing our impact on patient care.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
* Take responsibility for the overall selling and promotion of the diabetes product portfolio, ensuring meticulous execution of activities.
* Design and develop innovative local implementation plans to shape partnerships with key stakeholders.
* Identify and expand relationships with multiple stakeholders, developing key decision makers and influencers within the territory.
* Collaborate with all key business functions to overcome capacity barriers and grow business in targeted accounts.
* Develop and implement business plans to expand growth in this sector using innovation and sales expertise.
* Influence key decision-making criteria in favor of Medtronic therapies, including resolving risks and concerns.
* Utilize basic proficiency in health economics, reimbursement, and tender processes to influence decision makers for impactful outcomes.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Sales experience in the medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
* Willingness and ability to travel, with a clean driving record.
* Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and sales skills.
* Interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
